This morning during writing groups, the leadership team worked to figure out how to best use our space in room 42 to facilitate a productive discussion with Antero Garcia on Wednesday. Antero edited the common reading text that we have been using this summer and he has been kind enough to grant us some time to discuss the principles of connected learning that are laid out in the book. We're all looking forward to expanding our understanding of connected learning during our Google hangout. |
In the late morning session, Mikel asked us to explore the idea of mapping out characters using collaborative writing exercises. Mikel uses this technique in his creative writing and acting classes to get his students thinking about the ways characters drive stories.
Check out what character mapping sounds like!
